Committee of Banking Institutions on Taxation

First, thank you for electing me as Chair. I will do everything in my power to pursue CBIT's Mission. To that end, I would like to emphasize the importance of membership and attendance at our functions. Obviously, the organization cannot survive without its membership and in these days of bank consolidations and tight budgets, I appreciate every member's renewal. I would also like to go one step further and strongly encourage all members to be active in the organization. I still believe the cost of membership is an unbelievable bargain. In addition to keeping up to date with tax regulations, the added value of your membership is the ability to expand your professional network.

My objectives will include continuing CBIT’s tax education relevance by keeping a watchful eye on tax law changes and developing tax trends within our industry. Once identified, I will do my best to insure that these developments become the basis for upcoming presentations and discussions.  However, as part of our COVID-19 safety update for its members and the general public, CBIT and CBIT Education Inc will be holding no-in person meetings until further notice. In the interim all meetings will be conducted via Zoom or teleconference.

I look forward to working with the new officers and executive committee to build on my predecessors progress in making CBIT stronger and more relevant in these unprecedented times.
